Six new songs from Los Angeles-based Flat Worms, which features Tim Hellman, Justin Sullivan, and Will Ivy. The "Into The Iris" EP follows an LP on Castle Face (s/t, 2017). Filled with anxiety and angst, Flat Worm's summon perseverance in an apocalyptic era, passing through decrepit strip malls and surreal headlines. These songs were recorded by Ty Segall in his home, and is now being offered on God? Records.
My family drove in silence for the whole album, soaking up every song, on a road trip to visit family. The kids, now grown, grew up on Fugazi. As usual, we all get something different out of each song, but in conclusion, we agree- this is a rocking, listening experience worth sharing. We are also grateful for Amy Farina’s voice and percussion. What a great marriage of music! We hope for more <3
Amazing album. So much raw passion and emotion packed into one LP. After hearing Mother a few years ago, they really caught my attention. I vibe with their thoughts on society and the state of the world. Fighting back against the broken system we all live in. Finding joy in the few ways we all can.
My favorite songs are:
Ne Touche Pas Moi
A Hymn gregymon
